"The grass may look greener next door, but remember -- its just as hard to cut!" Roy Hatten
While the natural world waits for a ‘random movement’ to interrupt slow growth cycles can a believer really activate a rigorous analysis and get ahead? The world is divided into two arenas of social development. First there is the producer without which there would not be the second, the consumer. The man who co-operates with nature and as a tiller of soil or a herdsman is a worker for the fruitfulness of the world. He provides us with food to eat and with clothes to wear.
What of the man who brings forth the treasure of the mines and bends the forces of nature to his purpose as a producer? Every time a new and effective machine is invented the world is a more potential place in which to live. And in the midst of it all man moves as the master of the forces of which he has released. The worker who understands the significance of it all has a great pride in this amazing fruitfulness of the mind. Is not this the goal, that every man becomes a producer and a consumer? Yet when the winter winds of adversity and testing come does not our memory need to reflect upon the advantage we have of a spiritual multiplier?
We are responsible for our mental production. The normal world is not a world where the vast multitudes are productive in the material realm, and only a few are productive in the world of the mind. Mental fruitfulness’ is to be the portion of every believer. Cycles of aggression can be broken by the knowledge available to the believer in the spiritual multipliers found in the Bible. One difficulty we have in separating out cyclical movements that are harmful is that the components are not perfectly independent of each other. The believer is a dual nature of spiritual and natural although our training preempts us to blame demonic or familial intrusion for cyclical difficulties. The determination of the effects of the long component of deep spiritual dissatisfaction is already known while the interruptive action of a spiritual multiplier must be activated.
There is one mind which every believer can bring to fuller power and larger value all the time. And that mind is his. It is also true that while he is doing this he will be affecting other minds and making it easier for them to reach their full capacity. It is the mind which is a sure and dependable instrument for the finding of spiritual multipliers, for coming into contact with reality, is the mind actually interrupting cycles and attaining the highest value to its possessor and the whole world. Just as the baseball player in the winter camps of baseball kingdoms everywhere the believer must lock mentally into that which will help create and actually get you ahead of the game!
Researchers in financial arenas look for ‘hidden periodicities’ using a mathematical technique known as harmonic analysis or Fourier series. Two alternative methods are open to them: they may assume a certain periodicity and try to fit their statistical data to the resulting equation, or they may ask mathematicians to supply all of the possible periodicities contained in the data and then determine which are the most probable. They are seeking to interrupt a financial cycle. If these are seeking things of this life how much more should the one seek to analyze our ability to use a spiritual multiplier to get us ahead of the game?
For practical purposes, it would be useful to know the typical shape of a cycle and how to recognize its peak and trough. A great amount of work has been done in what may be called the morphology of cycles. They are seeking a reference cycle which they artificially constructed as a standard of comparison. The object in these studies was to describe the shape of each specific cycle, to analyze its phases, to measure its duration and velocity, and to measure the amplitude or size of the cycle. We, who seek destiny, already have a call to use spiritual multipliers to interrupt the cycle of natural life. By responding we immediately interrupt the cycle bursts of attitude and get a multiplication of results!
