Biography

Bishop Gregory L. Holley was born in Vernon, Texas to parents who became Presidents of two Colleges, as well as the Bishop over a major denominational structure in the State of Texas for over 25 years.

At 21 years of age, he married and together they traveled through many African nations working with relief organizations. Living through a war in Rhodesia, which became Zimbabwe, they traveled by convoy with the army to bring relief and ministry in the midst of war. While in Zimbabwe, he built churches in and became the overseer of a Missionary Relief Program, caring for all of their church leaders for two years.

Upon return to the United States, they traveled to European nations, Mexico and Canada studying self-support ideas for charities through business. His creative insights helped to build churches in Romania as well as orphanages. He has held business seminars in Eastern Europe, providing consultancy to Government Officials. He has been the guest of several Government officials bringing aid and ideas for job training to financially burdened governments and agencies.

Returning to America, Bishop Holley and his wife pastored a church in Kirbyville, Texas. Building up the congregation and remodeling the country church, they completed the assignment, moving from there to a group of people beginning a church and international relief organization in Bloomington, Illinois. Through the now established New Life Community Action, they fed and clothed thousands of local people as well as shipping container loads of aid for disaster relief to the nations.

His innovative ideas once implemented gained him national notoriety and Bishop and Gayla Holley were given the #389 Daily Point of Light Award by President George H. Bush.

After moving to Houston, Texas in 1996 and began a church in the bayside community of La Porte. Together they now Pastor a multi-culturall congregation and have a large base of churches that they teach self-support to. Over 100,000 square feet of buildings and warehouses gather goods from all over America to ship to many nations as well as providing goods and services for 365 agencies within America. He has built businesses that currently support their many projects and teach by example how charities can become self-supporting.

Currently Bishop Holley along with his wife of 30 years, Pastor and oversee New Life Christian Fellowship, New Life Foundation, Role Models of America and local outreaches with their children Pastor Sean and Angela Mooney and their grandchildren.
